Well I told you I would follow up with some pictures so here we go...
I designed this poster for above his bed.
He asks me to read it to him every time I tuck him in.

Update: Head board / Foot board assembly pointers:
As mentioned in many of the reviews for this product on Target.com,
the head board and foot board does NOT come with a frame.
I knew this prior to purchasing it and didn't care because it was such a great price.
Although, a mistake I made was buying a bed frame that only had a head board attachment.
If you buy this bed be SURE to purchase a frame with attachments on both ends
that look like this:

And keep in mind you will need a bed skirt to cover up that lovely little bed frame.
(I suggest a pleated skirt for a boys room.. much more manly.)
