Jalapeno Popper Chicken
As I am still new to this whole "cooking" thing, I tend to choose recipes that don't call for cooking-common-sense. Unlike my extremely talented Mom and Brother, I'm horrible at using my imagination when it comes to preparing a meal.
But I'm working on it.
Last night I gave this recipe a go:
It was REALLY easy (even for me) and super delicious.
It's one of those comfort foods though so I wouldn't recommend it for the calorie counter.
First:
Mix 8 oz of cream cheese,
1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
diced jalapenos (however hot you want it)
Take one boneless skinless thin sliced chicken breast
cover the outer side of it with panko bread crumbs,
slap on some of your cream cheese mixture,
wrap,
and stick with a toothpick.
Bake at 375 for approximately 45 minutes or until cooked.
See how easy that was?
* if you want a little extra flavor you can add salt, pepper, garlic powder to the panko crumbs.
That looks amazing, and as someone who isn't really in to cooking...I love me an easy recipe!
