So much love to my bestie and family for making my birthday a memorable one.

Bean's Birthday [TakeOne]

 This weekend is my birthday y'all!!!! 

Since I am going out of town, I rendezvoused with my local girlfriends for an early celebration. A few margaritas, great food, and a LOT of laughter. These girls know how to tell stories so well, I swear,  my cheek and ab muscles were aching by the time we got up to leave.

This is what I look like when I'm so-grateful-I'm-about-to-cry...

Everyone has their own key phrases / words that use and abuse right?

Well when I was 16, I loved to say "BOMMMMB"

When I was 18, I abused "I know, RIGHT?" 

When I was 20, "no WAAAY"

Not too long ago, "Clearly...."

And most recently, "It's LIFE CHANGING."

So no, I'm not having a milestone birthday, or a baby, or a new job. 

No, nothing like that. 

It's just my friends

Which, you have to admit, is pretty freaking cool.

Cheers to the ladies that made the kick-off to my birthday weekend

the BEST it ever could have been. You all rock.

What B Said.

From the very first day my (now 3.5 year old) son started talking 

I found many of our conversations

worthy of documenting to share with others.

I've been using Facebook to post short dialogues

and I thought I was being the typical Mom that over shares on social media,

but to my surprise people began reaching out to me 

to tell me they look forward to hearing what B has to say.

So, I've decided to start a series of blog posts called 

WHAT B SAID.

The posts could be few and far between or 10 in one day.

I never know what he'll say and when he'll grace me with his wit and knowledge of the universe.

It is rare that I can catch his spontaneity on video,

here is a little conversation we had on the beach last weekend.

Sometimes a girl needs a kick in the pants by her best friend.

I was on the phone with my bestie,

who happens to live 601 miles away from me

(driving distance, according to google maps) 

and as I'm verbal vomiting about my life, my feelings,

uncontrollable situations, and circumstances,

She gave me a solid,

passionate,
candid,

piece of advice.

You are a young single woman who gives and loves endlessly.

You are independent with a lot to offer

and if someone doesn't choose to be the person that you deserve

you can take your love elsewhere

because there are plenty of people in the world

who would be honored to step-up to the plate

 and be that person for you.

It is your choice to share your life with someone, not your obligation.

Don't sell yourself short.

*I hopefully did not butcher her advice as I am reiterating from memory.

Palm Springs Vacation

It's about that time to get back to sharing my life with you all.

Here's a glimpse of my wonderful vacation

and a LOT of suntan lotion.
